Arts Healing America
c/o Americans for the Arts Americans for the Arts is accepting charitable donations that will be directed to New York City cultural groups affected by the September 11 attack to assist in their recovery. Terrorism is an act of destruction, but art one of creation; the challenge ahead is to empower American communities with the tools and support necessary to their efforts to create.

Museum of the City of New York
The Museum of the City of New York has created a Project September 11 exhibition to chronicle the events of September 11, 2001 as a means to better understand and come to terms with them. These include a history of the World Trade Center, "After September 11: Images from Ground Zero," "Arab Americans in New York City," and "The Day Our World Changed," an exhibit of art created by New York area children.

Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC)
The LMCC is committed to serving artists and audiences in the financial district and throughout the neighborhoods and communities of Manhattan. LMCC has emerged as a primary voice for the cultural community in downtown's rebuilding. The LMCC is working to ensure that arts and culture not only help drive the recovery, but always have a place at the table.

September 11 Quilt Project
The September 11 Quilt Project has collected individual patches, or "panels," from all over the country and the world, and sewn them together in the shape and design of the American flag, for display in New York City, Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, PA, and other cities around the world. Donations go to cover the cost of materials, maintenance and running of the project. Visit the September 11 Quilt Project Web site for the tour schedule.
