Learn More About East Timor
After the Independence Day celebrations, there is a lot of work to be done in East Timor. While the U.N. will remain in East Timor, its role will be limited. The new government will be responsible for ensuring the stability and security of the country. It is hoped that East Timor will serve as a model for the eradication of poverty and illiteracy, and for the eradication of underlying reasons for conflict.
