Summer Arts & Culture

What would our lives be like without music, dance, and theatre? Without museums dedicated to art and history? Arts and culture make up a vibrant and vital part of our society. But nonprofit arts organizations, from community theatre to regional history museums, could not survive without volunteers and public and private funding.

Millions of Americans volunteer in the arts by serving as ushers for a performance, answering phones, or helping to plan a benefit. You can also support the arts this summer by taking your family to one of the numerous arts festivals across the country. Or, cool off on a hot day by spending the afternoon amidst dinosaur bones at a natural history museum. For a romantic date, take your sweetie to a night of theatre under the stars, or to a picnic concert in the park.

Find out about more ways to cool off with a dose of culture this summer - and to help ensure these programs thrive for summers to come.
