Network for Good's database of volunteer opportunities is powered by VolunteerMatch and more than ten organizations that provide information about volunteer opportunities through the Volunteer Network. The Volunteer Network was created by Network for Good in partnership with USA Freedom Corps and the Corporation for National and Community Service. The Volunteer Network Search engine is powered by AmeriCorps, America's Promise, Citizen Corps, Idealist, Learn and Serve America, National Mentoring Partnership, Peace Corps, Points of Light, Senior Corps, Volunteer.gov, VolunteerMatch, and Youth Service America's SERVEnet.

With VolunteerMatch, any nonprofit or tax-exempt organization can post current volunteer opportunities. Each time an individual expresses interest in a volunteer opportunity, the organization seeking that volunteer will receive an automatic e-mail notification indicating the potential volunteer's interest. Once this volunteer referral is received, the volunteer organization follows up with the prospective volunteer to offer additional orientation information about the volunteer opportunity. Thanks to VolunteerMatch, any charitable volunteer organization may post new volunteer opportunities at any time and offer a detailed description of its mission and services. In addition, a number of other enhanced volunteer recruitment services available through VolunteerMatch streamline the process of attracting, cultivating and managing volunteers.
