Step 5: Launch Your Campaign
After all the planning is done, put the pieces of your campaign together. Stick to your timeline, and remember to do the necessary testing in advance to make sure everything works seamlessly.
When managing email or direct mail campaigns, consider sending appeals 3 times; first to announce your request, again to remind your supporters to give and lastly to provide a sense of urgency around the deadline of your campaign. This will help motivate your donors to take action.
Consider emailing a test version of the campaign to your staff and board members before sending to a wider audience. This is a great way to generate valuable feedback to improve messaging and/or content within your campaign.
Lastly, encourage your supporters to "tell a friend" by passing your newsletter or appeal along to other potential supporters in their sphere of influence.
