Sign-up is easy – just follow the following three steps, and you can start collecting donations on your website:
Step 1:
Read our Giving System Agreement
This is all the legal fine print that outlines the relationship between your organization and Network for Good when we process donations for you. Here are the highlights: your agreement that we can collect donations for you, your right to place a link and (if you wish) a DonateNow button on your website, acknowledgement that you are a tax-exempt organization, and confirmation that your donors aren’t getting goods and services in return for their donation.
Step 2:
Choose an image to use as your DonateNow button
First, right-click on the image you choose and save it to your computer. Next, choose a place on your website where you would like to place the DonateNow button and upload the image you saved to your computer to your website.
Step 3:
Hyperlink your charity’s DonateNow URL to the image
To create your organization’s DonateNow URL, simply add your organization's EIN (Employer Identification Number) to the end of the following URL. Please note that the DonateNow URL should be linked to directly and not inserted into a frameset.

• Register and Complete GuideStar Information Form
In addition to these steps, we recommend that you register your organization with the GuideStar Information System (GIF). This is a big database of all 501(c)3 nonprofits that we use as the source for information about your charity when donors want to read more about you from the page to donate on our site. You should review your listing in the database and update it to make sure it’s accurate.
If you are not registered for EFT, check payments for donations will be mailed to the address listed on your GIF. Avoid delayed donation payments by keeping the address listed on your GuideStar profile correct.
To register with GuideStar, enter your 9-digit Employer Identification Number (EIN) into the GuideStar Information Form:
• Apply for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
If your organization would like to receive donation payments via electronic funds transfer, please click on the link below to submit an application. Payments are sent to your organization on the 15th of each month and will include all donations processed in the previous month. If you are not registered for EFT at the time a payment is sent, a check payment will be sent to the address listed in GuideStar for your organization.
• Register for the Donation Tracking Report
The Donation Tracking Report allows you to view details of all donations made to your organization through Network for Good. Donors receive an automated tax receipt, but we encourage you to acknowledge their contributions and note any designations or dedications that your donors have indicated.
